Are you studying in South East London?

Whether you consider yourself a Christian, or simply want to find out more about what Christians believe, Downham Way Family Church invites you to come along to any of our meetings and discover more.

The activities of Downham Way Family Church are based around small groups of people which are the foundation of the life of the church. They usually meet weekly in homes for fun, worship, prayer and Bible study as well as social events, meals together and other activities. We also run Alpha courses which are an introduction to Christianity, each session beginning with a meal followed by a talk and an informal discussion.

Every Sunday Morning there is a church meeting at 10.30am. Meetings are lively, informal and include an encouraging and inspiring talk from the Bible.

We have an adopt a student scheme where students are linked to a church family and will enjoy good home cooking and family care!

For students who are already Christians our aim is to encourage you to become wholehearted and active members of the church during your time as a student. We believe that it is possible, and important, for students to play a full and significant part in the life of the church whilst fully taking the opportunities that your time at university has to offer. Students who become church members can get involved in the different ministries of the church and receive training.
